Monday 21st March
So Jackson Hole finally gave me 2 blue days and I got some nice shots.
After that I flew to France to go to the European X-games. I was there for a week but the weather and snow conditions wouldn’t allow us to train much and there was no speed to hit the jumps.
But on Friday when it was our final day, things changed. The sun was out and the snow was fast enough. So we got 1 and a half hour of practice to make up for the other days. All the girls where putting down nice runs, so it was a great final.
I was training on my 900 because the second training run I had that mooring I stomped one unexpectedly. So I was thinking that will be my trick of the day. My whole run was: gab to boardslide to fakie, switch back 180, front boardslide, front board to fake, back side 900, cab 360.
My first contest run started good but when I came to the second jump to do my 900, I split a little of the take off and landed wrong and twisted my knee, an injury that was already sore from when I tore my meniscus after a slam in Helsinki. So my second run I was testing if I could still ride and my third run I gave it all and stomped my run. I was pretty stoked with that but it only gave me the 5th place. So as I said there was a lot of good riding going on.
Now I’m in Mayrhofen to film my last webisode but my knee isn’t too happy. So I don’t know how much riding I can film.
